We delighted to announce that we will be performing at St Saviour’s Church, St Albans on 22nd January 2022 at 7:30pm. Come and enjoy an evening of song.
Emily Kirby Ashmoor, soprano, will be singing Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder. We will also be entertained by Heathlands Harmony from the Heathlands School for the Deaf as well as Chorus Angelicus from Langley Hall Primary School who will be singing songs by Rutter. The orchestra will be playing Bizet’s Carmen Suite.
Emily studied at the University of King’s College London, the Royal Academy of Music and for her Masters of Music at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. She was previously a Principal Artist with Palace Opera and a Young Artist with both Head First Productions and the Opera in the City Festival. She has recently performed the roles of Lucia (The Rape of Lucretia, Opera Asteria), Dr A (The Hive, Hive Opera), First Woman (Cover) (Dido & Aeneas, Blackheath Halls) and Adina (Cover) (L’Elisir d’amore, Into Opera). She has joined Opera Holland Park for their last two Summer seasons, and will be joining the Chorus of the Royal Opera House in 2022 for Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen. She frequently tours internationally with ensembles such as the Monteverdi Choir and Les Metaboles, and is currently living in Paris where she sings at the American Cathedral. www.emilykirbyashmore.co.uk
